Consent in Health Care - information for Children and Young People
We would like to think we are as friendly as possible for teenagers. We do realise that the practice can often seem a difficult place to deal with but we are here to help. Conversations that you have with us are confidential, that means we do not discuss them with other people.
You do NOT have to tell the Receptionist why you need to see the doctor.
If you need to fit in around school times then we will do our best. If you think you need emergency contraception (the “morning after” pill): You simply contact the surgery and ask for an URGENT APPOINTMENT. You DON’T have to explain why. It CAN wait until the next day. If it is a weekend, contact your local pharmacy as some pharmacies also provide this service.
