Repeat Prescriptions

blue pills These are computerised. If you use regular medication you may not need to see the doctor each time you require your prescription.

You will have a computerised ‘repeat treatment slip’. Please tick the items that you require and return the slip to the surgery or your choice of chemist.

Please allow TWO working days for us to process these.

If you provide a stamped addressed Envelope we can post your prescription back to you (please remember to allow time for the post). You can also order a repeat prescription by calling in at the surgery and using a 'repeat prescription' slip. Please ask for one at reception. We will except presciptions via the fax 01495 234041. Please make sure that all the information is accurate - there will be delays if you prescription is written incorrectly.  We are unable to accept repeat prescription requests over the telephone.

When there are no repeat left (indicated by a zero on your slip) this means that you will need to see a doctor or nurse for a review. Please arrange an appointment well before you run out, as requesting more repeats will inevitably cause a delay.

Please also note that requesting other items which are not listed on the ‘repeat treatment slip’ will also cause a delay and while sometimes such a prescription is issued, you may be asked to arrange to see a doctor.

You can also book some items on line if you register onto My Health On Line.

If you think you need emergency contraception (the ‘morning after’ pill). It CAN wait until the next day. You simply contact the surgery and ask for an URGENT APPOINTMENT. You DON’T have to explain why.
